CONTENT FEEDBACK USED BY ENGLISH TEACHERS IN TEACHING LEARNING PROCESS
Abstract
Content feedback is important in teaching learning process because it can give information from the teacher to students regarding the students' work. The content feedback given by English teachers can motivate and help students to understand the lessons. This study aims to find out what types of content feedback given by English teachers to students in teaching learning processs. This research used qualitative descriptive research. Observation and recording were used to collect he data. Five English teachers in SMAN Lareh Sago Halaban Payakumbuh were taken as participants of this research . In this study, the researcher observed English teachers and record the content feedback used by English teacher during teaching learning process. The finding shows that there are six types of content feedback utilized by English teachers ,they are acknowledging a correct answer,indicating an incorrect answer,praising, expanding or modifying a students' answer, repeating and summarizing. There is no criticizing used by English teachers. This result indicates that almost all types of content feedback had been utilized by Englih teachers to support and motivate the students in understanding the lesson.
